چکیده
1 Abstract A nonuniform system is considered consisting of two phases with different densities of particles. At each given time the distribution of the phases in space is chaotic: each phase filling a set of regions with random shapes and locations. A chaotic diffusion process intermixes these regions by varying their shapes and locations in a random way. To investigate the statistical properties of such a system, it is exemplified by a lattice–gas model. Conditions are analysed when this chaotic lattice–gas model can become thermodynamically more stable than the usual model describing a pure one–phase system.

In this paper we continue the investigation of the lattice gas model. The main improvement is that we use two strengths for bonds: one between like particles and another between unlike particle to implement the isospin-dependence of nuclear force. The main effect is the elimination of unphysical clusters, like the dineutron or diproton. It is therefore a better description of nuclear system. Eq...

Let L be a positive definite even lattice of rank one and V + L be the fixed points of the lattice VOA VL associated to L under an automorphism of VL lifting the −1 isometry of L. A set of generators and the full automorphism group of V + L are determined.

Using a Monte Carlo coarse-graining technique introduced by Binder et al., we have explicitly constructed the continuum field theory for the zerotemperature triangular Ising antiferromagnet. We verify the conjecture that this is a gaussian theory of the height variable in the interface representation of the spin model. We also measure the height-height correlation function and deduce the stiffn...

The Constituent Quark Model has provided a remarkable description of the experimentally observed hadron spectrum but still has no firm theoretical basis. Attempts to provide a QCD justification discussed at Hadron99 include QCD Sum Rules, instantons, relativistic potential models and the lattice. Phenomenological analyses to clarify outstanding problems like the nature of the scalar and pseudos...
